Pressed Sushi is a traditional Kansai-style sushi made by placing vinegared rice and toppings into a mold and pressing them firmly to shape. Among them, Grilled Mackerel Pressed Sushi is a particularly popular variety, featuring richly flavored mackerel grilled to perfection.

Carefully grilled fatty mackerel brings out a savory aroma from the skin and deep umami from the flesh, paired with sushi rice seasoned using our signature blended vinegar. At Izasa, we place pickled ginger (gari) between the topping and the rice, adding a refreshing accent to the flavor. In addition, toasted sesame seeds are mixed into the sushi rice, enhancing both aroma and texture.
